Formative Meaning: 5/Hay: Archetypal
life: The outer, experiential life of Adam Qadmon defined by the last six sephirot, formed
at the 5th sephira when a 2/Bayt/body is given to cosmic energy in Shabatai (Sheen-Bayt-Yod-Tav).
The last six sephirot must be considered in pairs, as they are sealed in the Cube of Space, successively
by Yod, Hay and Waw. The 5th and 6th sephirot, the vertical axis of the Cube, passing completely through
us, are two poles of the same energy of Yod/existence: the body, which can be alive or dead, and
its inner movement, which can be uncertain or at peace. This axis defines our ex-istance or
place in the world as in terms of a constant duality of two generalized metaphors: self and other,
or the body and its inner movement. Two other axes will define the developmental life of the
existence (7th-8th) and its union with sensuous material reality (9th-10th).

Sephira 5: Hay: Life Gevurah: Strength/Rigor.
With the formation of Adam Qadmon's inner life complete at the 4th Sephira (the first Yod in Ruahh Elohim Hayim),
the 5th Sephira of Life forms his outer, experiential life. The double, inner and outer life, is achieved only with
the 5th, where 2/Bayt forms the material and spiritual body alive in the universe. The theme of life permeates this
Sephira on every level and is vital to its understanding.

In the Short Version, Bayt bestows kingship in or by Hhaim, life. None of the other doubles bestow kingship in,
by or over any other quality. Later corruptions of the Sepher Yetsira (Gra redaction, etc) add meaningless formalism
("king over wisdom," "king over wealth", etc).
The Tree of Life, as a 2-D projection of the Cube of Space, obscures some of the symmetry of the higher-dimensional
object. It is not clear in topology of the Tree that the 5th and 6th, 7th and 8th, and 9th and 10th sephirot form
three perpendicular axes (in the Tree, the 5th-6th is a short diagonal, the 7th-8th a cross-bar and the 9th-10th
is a vertical). This means that the oppositional or complementary qualities of the three pairs are generally
not considered (except, perhaps, Netzach-Hod).
The three axes "sealed"
by YHWH --
Yod (Z-axis, existence), Hay (Y-axis, Life) and Waw (X-axis, union/interpenetration)
-- have consistent linked structures that are difficult to appreciate in the Tree. With the 5th and 6th
sephirot, sealed by Yod/existence, primary existential identity or personal being is established:
an interaction of our higher goals and the sense of justice we stand on (the Height and Depth of
the 5th-6th axis) among other metaphors. All the pairs display complementary energies. Here
it is Life and Union, and Shabatai/Saturn and Tsedeq/Jupiter.

Five: three Autiot among the simples. Sealed (the) height (or apex).
Three chosen. Solidified them with his great Name: Yod-Hay-Waw. And sealed with six extremities.
Turned towards the upper, sealed it with Yod-Hay-Waw.
The 5th/Life Sephira is uniquely sealed twice by Yod-Hay-Waw. Both Hays of YHWH -- inner and outer --
are active. This sephira is the connection, or hinge, between the inner and outer space of
Adam Qadmon.
